It's an inspiring story of resilience and ambition, where we built something beautiful out of blueprints and dreams.
We are thrilled to share our story with you and tell you all about the many career transitions from IT Consultant to successful general contractor and what has led us to where we are today and where we are excited to be going.
Despite having a successful career in tech, I desired to stop international travel to be closer to home. My heart was drawn to construction and design after years of experience investing in residential and multi-family projects. My passion drove me towards a new venture.
I made the unconventional switch from executive management in IT Consulting to becoming a general contractor and discovered a talent for creating attractive spaces and finding innovative solutions to problems.
North Dallas Renovations started small. Friends and family were kind enough to let me work on their homes and I treated each of their homes as if they were my own. I worked tirelessly to transform these homes into the spaces my friends and family had dreamed of and word quickly spread, leading to countless 5-star reviews and more clients followed.
Growing up watching her father and uncle build beautiful custom homes, along with a slight obsession with Chip and Joanna Gaines, my wife Kim was naturally excited to be part of the company.
Before long, she left her job as a CEO for a nonprofit organization to embrace blueprints and design as the COO of North Dallas Renovations.
Kim brought with her many years of leadership experience that allowed us to add structure to our growing company from day one. Her operational skills were put to use as we expanded our team and took on larger projects.
North Dallas Renovations has an impressive growth story, but it hasn’t come without growing pains.
In the early years, we faced challenges like any other startup. However, with determination and a can-do spirit, we learned to overcome these obstacles. Together we faced our challenges head-on, learning from our mistakes and continuously striving to improve.
Our first challenge was breaking into the highly competitive Dallas renovation market. We had to stand out among numerous established businesses and are very proud to to be one of the top luxury home renovation companies in the Dallas area today.
