This award-winning transformation is a perfect reflection of that approach. The home was reimagined room by room to create a cohesive flow, an elevated materials palette, and a warm, welcoming aesthetic—proving that luxury is not only about beauty but also about how effortlessly a space functions day to day.
At the heart of the renovation is the kitchen—a dramatic departure from its former dark, heavy design. What was once closed-in and visually weighty is now a bright showcase of refined craftsmanship with a classic-modern appeal.
Custom cabinetry with elegant reeded details draws the eye upward, replacing bulky features and creating a sense of increased space. Taj Mahal quartzite countertops add natural movement and sophistication, paired with an Ann Sacks artistry backsplash that introduces texture and artisanal character. Oversized scalloped pendants hover above dual islands, while rich bronze hardware, a honey-bronze bridge faucet, and coordinating pot filler lend timeless warmth.
Structural updates further transformed the room: dark beams were selectively removed, remaining beams were restained for a softer presence, and new flooring introduced a warmer, more inviting tone throughout the main living areas. High-end appliances ensure professional-grade performance without sacrificing elegance, while a chic hutch and expansive prep zones create both visual impact and everyday ease.
Beyond the main kitchen, a thoughtfully designed butler’s area extends the functionality and luxury. Arched custom cabinetry—matched in color and stone—replaces the space’s former heaviness with architectural softness. Integrated refrigeration, an appliance garage, and subtle layered lighting transform this once-overlooked zone into a refined transition space ideal for entertaining.
The transformation continues throughout the home’s living areas. The primary family room evolved from heavy and dated into a vision of refined luxury, defined by layered neutrals, custom built-ins, tailored furnishings, and brass accents warmed by natural wood tones. Soft drapery filters daylight across the space, creating a curated yet effortless atmosphere grounded in timeless architectural balance.

A former dining room was converted into a serene sitting area—perfect for quiet mornings or after-dinner conversation. Here, a soft, layered color palette, smooth woven textures, and tailored window treatments replace bold, dated finishes. A sculptural light fixture now anchors the room overhead, while calming artwork completes an airy retreat designed for everyday enjoyment.
Elsewhere, a new mudroom delivers organization for busy households, while a bright foyer welcomes guests with warmth and intention. Each space was carefully composed to enhance flow, natural light, and livability—turning what was once a shadowed, compartmentalized home into a gracious, open sanctuary.
One of the home’s most delightful surprises is the reimagined powder room. Designed to feel like a jewel box, the space features bold, scenic wallpaper, a richly painted vanity topped with luxurious marble, and statement hardware that adds personality and polish.
An ornate gold mirror and sculptural pendant lighting introduce glamour and charm, transforming a utilitarian space into a moment of artistry and delight—proof that even the smallest rooms deserve thoughtful attention.
